What does Logo Design mean?
Logo design is the process of analysing a company’s brand through the creation of symbols, signs or emblems. Most logo designs tend to be graphical in nature, depicting either the company name’s initial, visual representation of a character or marks that represent the company’s brand.
Why do you need us?
While you may think that logo design is easy to do and you can just either outsource someone to do them for you or just design them yourself, there are some things to keep in mind.
1. Logo Design isn’t as simple as you may think
Logo Design involves a process of understanding the nature of your business as well as the current trends in the recent years in order for your business to keep up with the times and upgrading of technology. The process of designing and thinking of designs and drafting takes longer than the actual execution to create the vector or graphic logo.
2. Designs have to be memorable and unique to each business
While designing your logo, it has to be designed whilst keeping in mind all other brands that are out there. Professional designers always keep themselves updated on companies which have registered themselves with copyright and trademark. For example, if your company you started is called ‘The Yellow M”, this doesn’t mean that you can outright create a logo with an M for its design, and yellow at that. This is because the logo has already been coined by Macdonald’s, for it’s popular logo design and branding. This is easily avoided if you are not handling the same trade and industry as the company in question, but confusion and disarray may occur if your consumers assume that your company is affiliated with Macdonald’s.
3. Learn from others
It’s important to design according to your company’s business, but it is important to learn from what others have done. Be it Google, Coca cola, Macdonald’s, or any other major company out there, it is important to take note of the changes in their brand and why they change it as such.
